1- Must my toilet be installed by an electrician or a plumber?
No. Our sanitaryware comes with a step by step installing instruction. No assembly required. However, if you’re not sure you can do the work yourself, you should call an expert to do it for you.
2- How does the double flush toilet work?
The toilet has a button with 2 modes: the small one that is for liquids release about 3L of water and the big one that is for solids pushes down deeper to releases about 6l of water. If necessary, keep pushing on the button of your choice for a few seconds to ensure a better cleaning action. We recommend that you flush the toilet only when you have finished for best performance.
3- How does the idToilet vacuum system function?
A special fan has been installed into the tank (or shell for the urinal) of our sanitaryware. It removes odors from the littles rinse holes in the rim of the bowl and out by the drain. Liquids and solids go to the sewer while the bad odors are evacuated through the roof vent and the sewer. The suction device is temporarily stopped for a few second while the flush system is in action.
4- What happens if an electrical breakdown occurs?
The suction system will not work. However, a backdraft valve stops odors from coming back, so there’s no problem for that.
5- Why can’t I open the tank?
It is possible to open the tank by unscrewing the flush button ring. However, we suggest you open it only when required for the maintenance of the fan as recommended; that way the foam tape around the lid of the tank will not be damaged.
6- Does the system eliminate 100% of the odors ?
Almost. Even if our idToilet system is quit efficient, we can’t guaranty that all odors will be removed. Each person has a different sense of smell, so we estimate that the rate odors sucked out goes up to 80% to 100%. We can assure you that you will never be embarrassed by bad odors because they will have disappeared in a few second before you have left the washroom.
7- What about my ceiling fan in my bathroom?
Your ceiling fan is useful when you take a shower. When you go to the toilet it is better not to activate your ceiling fan because it may affect the performance of your idToilet product.
